Canon iW Management Console (iWMC) SSL Certificate Automation

Automate certificate import and activation for Canon iW Management Console (iWMC) without repeating manual Windows certificate work.

Protect the Canon management console

Canon iW Management Console (iWMC), also called iW Enterprise Management Console (iWEMC), manages an organisation’s printer fleet. SSLNexus automates the management console’s HTTPS certificate. This adapter does not deploy certificates to individual printers. The workflow imports the PFX into the Windows certificate store and uses the application configuration binding. SSLNexus reuses the recorded configuration path on later deployments and checks for configuration drift when it is no longer available.

Prepare the Windows management path

Configure a Windows deployment target with authorised WinRM access and the required application secret. The supported workflow is for the Canon iW Management Console (iWMC) service and its configured installation, rather than every Canon product or firmware version.

Renew with the CA you use

Bind the target to its certificate authority. Issuance and the application deployment remain separate stages, so a successful CA order is followed by the Canon iW Management Console (iWMC) import and activation workflow.

Plan your rollout

Start with one authorised target, test certificate acquisition and deployment, and confirm the resulting certificate is in use. Feature availability follows your installed release and active licence. The seven-day trial provides a way to evaluate the relevant workflow.
